Chopping Board Care

Hand wash with a damp cloth and warm soapy water and dry immediately.

Do not immerse in water.

Treat with a suitable food-safe oil on a regular basis to maintain condition.

Wipe off excess oil and allow to dry before using. 

Oiling

Depending on how frequently used, we recommend sanding and oiling every 6-12 months. This pack has enough oil in to last you for 8-10 coats.

Pour roughly 4 tbsp of oil directly onto the board. Then rub in a circular motion with the lint free cloth provided in the care pack, pushing the oil into the grain. Once the board is covered, use the 2nd lint free cloth to wipe away the excess oil, be sure to follow the direction of the grain in an up and down motion. If possible, hang with a piece of string from the handle to dry for 6-10 hours. If unable to hang, then rest aside leaning against a wall - the objective is to have as little of the board touching any surface as possible.
